Lasers and light sources use the concept of selective photothermolysis to eliminate unwanted hair and its potential for regrowth without damaging the surrounding skin. During a treatment, light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft. This absorption raises the temperature of the hair follicle and thermally destroys the cells responsible for regrowth. What should I choose, Mythos™ or Lovely™ ?
Although based upon very different technologies, both systems provide the wavelengths, fluences and pulse widths necessary to produce safe and effective photoeilation results. Both systems are compact, portable and easy to use.
The Lovely™ family of products is a multi-application system. For clinicians wishing to start with multiple applications, or intending to upgrade the system as their practice grows, the system would not be used full-time for any one application.
For more developed practices or those wishing to develop a high-volume hair removal practice, the Mythos delivers gold-standard performance and proven reliability. It also has integrated cooling for added safety and patient comfort.
